Quality is at the forefront of the economic growth processes, but the methodology of solving issues of quality applied in different countries varies considerably. The subject of the given article is the analysis of modern methodology in the field of quality and ways of its usage in Russian companies.

I have analyzed the methodology proposed by the European Foundation for Quality Management and have considered the main directions of work on these issues by the European Organization for Quality and the Asian organization for Quality.

The economic background to the use of business excellence model in Russia were formed only at the end of the 1990s.

However, the achieved during this time results indicate the recognition of progress in the field of quality management of some Russian companies and give hope that the best practices will be widely distributed in the domestic business.
