We examined the problem of import substitution based on the introduction of innovative technologies. We talked about new technologies for making large- sized forgings for hull components of ball valves on simple hydraulic presses. It reduce the technological forces of punching and metal consumption, including forged centrifugally cast pipe billets. Using them will allow to introduce innovative punching technology by dropping quality forgings of ball stoppers on DN from

500 to 1000 mm. Forged pipe billets can also be used for the manufacture of hollow rollers in installation of continuous casting of steel, which is constructed by Public Corporation VNIIMETMASH.

We developed this technology in MSTU Stankin accordance the Strategy of Innovative Development of the Russian Federation until 2020.
