E-learning is of great demand in the sphere of additional vocational training as it satisfies all the needs of in-service specialists for obtaining applied knowledge and relevant information. According IPOboard statistics, the market for e-learning in Russia is estimated at 9,3 billion rubles and the annual growth rate at the end of 2014 has reached almost 17 %. In the field of standardization and technical regulation such education is considered to be an integral part of the information infrastructure of the national standards system.
In our study we have discussed methods of organizing e-learning process, arising problems, advantages and disadvantages of this type of training and have examined the best options for their solutions.
As an example of blended learning in the Academy we have put on consideration existing retraining program Specialist on metrology. It is highly important to be able to use complex knowledge from various fields and work with information efficiently.
Structured e-learning system in combination with traditional training not only gives students the opportunity to masters their knowledge, but also to obtain competences that are required by the modern information society.
